For starters: Prada handbags’ new online home, anyone?
If you consider yourself a designer handbag insider, you must remember Renee Zellweger’s initialed Prada tote, shown in the photo above. Our Bridget Jones struts her stuff in plain workout gear and an RZ-brandishing Prada bag, which makes us wonder where to get our own favorite tote “lettered.” Unless you’re a DKNY, it’s probably NOT a walk in the park to find a handbag that readily has your initials.
But fret no more. Prada has launched its luggage leathering service, which covers a good deal of designer luggage and bags in its collection. There’s practicality behind availing yourself of this: there’s an awful lot of bags in airport, streets, everywhere. If you manage to keep things simple – maybe use a plain black Prada luggage – you can come up with something neat and fun, not tacky. Unless you have way too many initials, like GFHOKLYUL. (Sounds like an aesthetic challenge to us.)
If initials on handbags are your thing, go try this lettering service that Prada has rolled out. It’s not exactly cheap, but at least you’re able to stamp your precious initials on your designer possession. It’s exclusive on the Prada website and in 12 Prada stores around the world.
